Quarter Master® Reverse-Mount Starter Aluminum Bellhousing

Well known for manufacturing state-of-the-art racing clutches and driveline components, Quarter Master® has recently developed a new aluminum bellhousing for reverse-mount starters, replacing the previous design that enjoyed a huge amount of circle track racing success. Designed using the latest FEA software, the new aluminum bellhousing design is 80 percent stiffer than its predecessor with a clam-style shape that improves the stress bearing points on the bellhousing. This stiffer design greatly improves clutch spline wear, eliminates flexing, trues up clutch alignment to the transmission and pilot bearing and decreases wear on internal transmission components.

These lightweight kits combine state-of-the-art engineering and years of racing expertise to give you the perfect combination of quality and value. These premium kits feature a lightweight CNC-machined steel bellhousing (18 lbs.) that ensures proper concentricity for reduced driveline wear, an ultra light flexplate that reduces the moment of inertia and a 2 or 3-disc V-drive clutch with a balanced button flywheel. The 7.25" V-drive multi-disc clutch offers better cooling, allows clutch dust to easily escape the unit and lowers the moment of inertia. Quarter Master® Magnesium Reverse-Mount Starter Bellhousing

State-of-the-art redesign using the latest FEA technology yields bellhousings that delivers more strength for racers using Jerico and T-10 style transmissions Well known for manufacturing state-of-the-art racing clutches and driveline components, Quarter Master® has recently developed an innovative Magnesium Bellhousing for Reverse-Mount Starters. This all-new unit replaces the previous design that has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in multiple racing venues. Designed using the latest FEA software, the ribbed, clam-shell shape is 30% stiffer than its predecessor and reduces stress in critical points of the bellhousing with no addition to the overall weight. This design also greatly reduces clutch spline wear, eliminates flexing, improves clutch alignment and decreases wear on internal transmission components. In addition, this new design offers superior ground clearance and ergonomics, which allow for increased clearance for various header configurations. It also enables the use of smaller diameter clutch assemblies, and thus provides the lowest moment of inertia available over larger, stock-type units. Other significant improvements include ultra-precise CNC-machining and stiffening ribs on the top of the bellhousing for increased durability. Quarter Master® Starter Core Exchange Program

Driveline innovator introduces exchange program to maintain the integrity of the highest quality starters in the performance aftermarket Even the most reliable products require periodic inspection and maintenance to ensure their continued service life. With that in mind, Quarter Master® has introduced its new Starter Core Exchange Program, specifically designed to protect customer investment in the highest-quality starters on the market. The program allows customers to send used Quarter Master® starters back to the company’s facility, where the starter’s core is then exchanged for a new one. With this new exchange program, customers are able to maintain the value of their Quarter Master® Ultra-Duty™ Starter for less than the cost of an inferior product. To qualify for the Quarter Master® Starter Core Exchange program, all starters must be returned directly to the Quarter Master® facility (starters will not be accepted through the nation-wide dealer network). Upon receipt, the starter will first be inspected to verify that it is an original Quarter Master® Starter and not previously rebuilt using inferior, substandard components. In addition, the starter will be inspected for any potential crash and internal damage due to improper wiring. Any of these issues will make the starter ineligible for the exchange program. Following inspection, the drive and nose from the existing starter are removed and assembled onto a hand-built starter. If it is determined that these parts require service, additional costs may be incurred beyond the standard exchange. When the final rebuild is completed, each starter is re-inspected and dyno-tested to verify that it meets the strict quality requirements of Quarter Master®. The entire procedure can be completed in a very short time, oftentimes within one day of receipt of the starter. Participation in this program will not only save time for the racer but also money. The cost of exchanging a Quarter Master® Reverse Rotation Ultra-Duty™ Starter is $175 plus shipping and handling, while the cost for a Quarter Master® Standard Rotation Ultra- Duty™ Starter is $150 plus shipping and handling.
